It was not uncommon now to see people with nosebleeds on the streets, nosebleeds being one of the possible side-effects of the New Day pill. One of the Tells of New Day users -- besides the nosebleeds, of course -- was their wearing the same clothes several days in a row. They were inevitably their favorite clothes, and -- with no memory of wearing them the day before -- the users wore them again and again. Everyone felt good wearing their favorite clothes, it is how they wanted the world to see them, it is how they best saw themselves.
