Sweet Goodnight Mr. K.

He was a runt, abandoned on the semi-truck frontage road where I worked.

Had to have most of his teeth removed in the first year.

Became healthy and strong.

With me through seventeen years.

Giant wafting butterscotch fan of a tail.

Good or bad day, he would crawl up in my shoulder every night, squeeze himself comfortable and purr.

So many things I could write, but he was The Best Kitty Ever.

Fine this morning, then bleeding; had to put him to sleep this afternoon.

Sweet Goodnight Mr. K.

Best Cat Ever.

Might be no funny stuff for a day or two.

He was also my Editor.

I am Laslo.

  1. Very sad. Knowing all the joy is worth the pain doesn't dull the pain for awhile but it, along with the memories, will eventually.

In a divine sense The Cat Is Out Of The Bag.

  2. Sorry for your loss with the Kitty. I cried after my basset broke his back, and I had to put him down. They don't make wheelchairs for dogs.

However, I am curious about this, which I heard recently:

    "no funny stuff"

Perchance, are you a Steyn fan?
